• Aptos Foundation and Alibaba Cloud are teaming up to bolster Web3 talent and accessibility in the APAC region. 

• As the designated blockchain sponsor in Alibaba Cloud’s Innovation Accelerator program, the Aptos Foundation will provide builder resources and ecosystem fund support to promising Aptos-built projects.  

• Aptos Foundation x Alibaba Cloud will launch the first co-branded Move developer community in Asia, furthering the impact of the smart contract programming language built for mass adoption.

• Aptos Foundation x Alibaba Cloud will also collaborate on a series of hackathons and regional events to expand and empower the Asian–Pacific Web3 community. 

The partnership was born from a shared passion for bringing new expertise, resources, and inspiration to up-and-coming developers in the area. 

Alibaba Cloud tapped Aptos Foundation to become its leading blockchain sponsor for all Web3-related projects enrolled in the Alibaba Cloud Singapore Innovation Accelerator program. The program aims to bring together industry leaders and experts to help develop more innovative and resilient businesses in Singapore through sharing of practical skills and ideas, and providing ease of access to the latest cloud technologies. In this role, Aptos Foundation will provide ecosystem fund support and expert advice to standout Aptos-based projects that show real promise. 

Alibaba Cloud will offer its scalable, highly efficient and secure cloud infrastructure to support the growth of Aptos ecosystem while facilitating openness for the global digital economy.

As a part of this partnership, Aptos Foundation will also collaborate with Alibaba Cloud to launch the first co-branded Move developer community in Asia, further advancing the impact of the smart contract programming language on mass adoption in the region. 

Built initially at Meta, the Move programming language is designed to evolve, improve performance, and strengthen web3 safeguards automatically, with rapid and continuous improvement of the developer experience and language built in. Move has gained enormous traction in Asia since its debut. For years, hundreds of developers have organized Move hackathons, workshops, and other events across Asia. Now, Aptos Foundation and Alibaba Cloud will formally unite the Move community across the APAC region to prepare for the next chapter of Web3.
