Unlocking Builder Use-Cases with Move 2 Framework

A few weeks ago, a set of major updates were introduced to the Move framework. Notably: Dynamic Transaction Composer, Account Abstraction, and Ordered Maps.

These updates make it easier than ever for developers to build powerful, scalable, and secure applications on Aptos. They also unlock a range of new possibilities for global finance and next-gen digital economies—from automated portfolio managers to real-time credit systems and on-chain asset registries.

What’s New with Move 2

Here’s a quick overview of the new features now available to developers:

In the spirit of Move Madness, we invite builders to shoot your shot with these game-changing ideas:

On-chain Creator Economy

Enable direct and frictionless support for creators through crypto-based recurring subscriptions, automated memberships, and scalable micropayments. This uses Dynamic Transaction Composer for payment sequences, Account Abstraction for advanced authorized workflows, and Ordered Maps for low-overhead subscriber management.

Automated Portfolio Managers

Build tools that help users manage their crypto portfolios automatically. This might include things like rebalancing assets or moving funds between DeFi protocols. Account Abstraction for permission-based transaction flows, and Dynamic Transaction Composer to execute multiple financial operations in one streamlined process.

Instant Crypto Credit Lines

Build on-chain credit systems that support real-time borrowing, dynamic collateral management, and automated repayments. This leverages Dynamic Transaction Composer for real-time transaction execution, Account Abstraction for secure authorization, and Ordered Maps for scalable data management.

Cross-Game Asset Integration

It is time to build a gaming ecosystem with actual interoperability, where users can use NFTs and digital assets across various games within the Aptos ecosystem. Dynamic Transaction Composer ensures atomic asset transfers, Account Abstraction manages secure, permission-based usage, and Ordered Maps efficiently handle inter-game asset registries.

Move Madness: Build Like a Champ

These are just a few of the ideas now possible on Aptos. Updates to the Move 2 Framework are live—what developers do with them is wide open. Whether you're working on DeFi, gaming, or beyond, the opportunity to push boundaries is here.

The playbook has been rewritten—now it's your move.
