Women on the Move: Celebrating Trailblazers in the Aptos Ecosystem

Aptos has always been a home for builders looking to push the boundaries of what’s possible in blockchain.

For many in the ecosystem, the decision to build on Aptos comes down to its unparalleled technology, supportive community and vision for a more scalable and accessible Web3 future.

In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re spotlighting the incredible women who make Aptos what it is today. From builders to founders and community leaders, their stories reflect the diverse talents and perspectives that fuel innovation across the Aptos ecosystem—pushing boundaries, fostering community and creating meaningful change.

Q. Why did you choose Aptos?

“Aptos stands for ‘the People.’ Interestingly, I joined Aptos Labs as one of the founding engineers and the first woman employee. It has been an incredible experience working with extremely talented and passionate individuals who are trying to accomplish what many consider impossible. We’re here to build the decentralized infrastructure that people deserve—one that actually scales, is affordable, secure and makes money move better.”
Sherry Xiao, Founding Engineer, Aptos Labs
I’m really passionate about technology, and Aptos stood out to me with its innovative approach. The scalability, security and efficiency of the Move language caught my attention, but what really made me stay was the commitment to developers and the broader ecosystem. Aptos isn’t just about building a blockchain—it’s about redefining what’s possible in Web3."
Nese Yavuz, Aptos Global Community Manager
“The vision of building a chain that can serve billions with unmatched scalability and efficiency for a decentralized future excites me. From day one, witnessing this vision steadily evolve with dedication has been extraordinary, and I’m drawn by the opportunity to amplify every development that contributes to this vision and to be a voice for it within a growing community.”
Dilek Sarı, Aptos Türkiye Community Manager

Q. What is your favorite Aptos memory?

“One of my favorite [Aptos] memories is attending the Aptos Experience in Korea. Seeing the community come together with so much energy, excitement, and curiosity was a perfect example of how passionate and driven the Aptos ecosystem is.”
Nese Yavuz, Aptos Global Community Manager
“The Aptos Ecosystem Summit was an incredible experience connecting with fellow founders, learning about their journeys and gaining insights into how different projects are shaping the ecosystem. The energy in the room was inspiring—it was a great reminder that beyond the technology, it's the people and the builders who make [Aptos] truly special. The collaborations, the shared challenges, and the collective drive to innovate left a lasting impact.”
Shraddha Agarwal, Co-Founder, Panora
"The vibes at the first-ever Aptos hackathon before mainnet launch were absolutely immaculate. It was unreal being surrounded by so many builders who were just genuinely excited to be there, passionate about what they were building, and hyped about Aptos. That energy was contagious, it really felt like something special was starting."
Kiki O, COO & Co-Founder, Econia Labs

Q. What's your vision for the future of Web3?

“My vision for Web3 is a world where regular people benefit from blockchain without ever realizing they're using it—no wallet tutorials, no gas fee explanations, just better, faster, more inclusive financial services. Aptos is the rare chain focused on this invisible infrastructure approach.”
Surbhi Singh, Head of Business Development, Kana Labs

Q. What makes you the most proud about Aptos in 2025?

“I'm bullish on the new programs The Aptos Foundation is rolling out to truly focus on growing the ecosystem and supporting builders across the board. Fostering teams from 1 to 10 is precisely how we 10x the ecosystem.”
Alix Musset, Ecosystem Manager, Aptos Foundation
I am proud of the impact and exposure of Aptos, and of its increasing popularity in our region: Asia. Beyond being the top DeFi protocol on Aptos, [Amnis Finance] has supported many other initiatives for the Aptos community. Together with Aptos, we’ve hosted an accelerator that attracted over 200+ builders. We’ve co-hosted many side events in Hong Kong, Singapore, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City such as Make Your Move, Sky Scraper and Beer n Build that have always oversubscribed with tremendous interest and participation of community, KOLs, builders and Aptos enthusiasts.
Hoa Ha, Head of Business Development & Partnerships, Amnis Finance

Q. What advice do you have for fellow women builders in the space?

"Find your community. Look for spaces like online groups or local meetups where you can connect with like-minded builders and creators. Building relationships with those who share your enthusiasm can lead to mentorship and collaboration opportunities. These networks can become powerful support systems as you grow in the space."
Po On Yeung, Head of Community Development, Aptos Foundation
"Find your people—having a solid group of other women builders in the space makes all the difference. This industry can be tough, and having a support system of women who understand what you’re going through, who have your back, and who genuinely want to see you succeed? It’s a game-changer. Prioritize those relationships, it’ll make everything feel way more sustainable (and fun)."
Kiki O, COO & Co-Founder, Econia Labs
“Ignore the pressure to build what's trending and instead leverage your unique perspective to identify overlooked problems. The Aptos ecosystem particularly values substance over showmanship, making it fertile ground for builders who prioritize impact over influencer status—precisely where many women excel.”
Surbhi Singh, Head of Business Development, Kana Labs
The blockchain space can be an intense grind with all alpha male energy making you feel overloaded, overwhelmed and overlooked. Don’t shy away from taking calculated risks, whether that’s pitching a bold idea to a skeptical room or leading a project in uncharted domain. Remember your purpose and drive forward!
Hoa Ha, Head of Business Development & Partnerships, Amnis Finance
